On Hotwire it's $384.īasically it appears to be a no-risk way to use Hotwire. The best rate on their website appears to be about $610 all-in, with a $10 daily FB credit, net $540. I haven't booked it yet, but I am going to Vegas for a week starting July 30, planning to stay at Orleans. When you pick a rate it will tell you "The last person who booked this got Palace Station Hotel & Casino." However, Hotwire is essentially non-opaque. There's a difference between the 4-star South Strip Tropicana, and Planet Hollywood, and Monte Carlo, and New York New York, and the 5-star North Strip Trump, and Venetian, and Wynn. Second, the properties have their own character. First, because of resort fees, the price you're quoted isn't the price you pay. Many times it doesn't matter - do you care that much if you're at the Days Inn or La Quinta, or alternatively the Hilton or the Marriott? Most of the time when you use Hotwire (and Priceline similarly) opaque booking tools, you get pot luck.
